Tips and Advice for Common Flower Maintenance
There are various varieties of flowers in China. Flowers have become a common and popular gift when people want to send their best wishes to other people. While the flowering period is limited, it does require some care and maintenance to keep a longer flowering period. Here, I introduce some common flower maintenance tips to people who receive flowers delivered to you.

The maintenance of Carnation:
1. Remove the leaves from the flowers and remember to maintain excellent ventilation.
2. Do not spray water on the flowers.
3. Carnations are sensitive to ethylene, so carnations should be far from ripe fruits and vegetables, incense, cigarettes and so on. It is better to add anti-ethylene preservatives to the water.

The maintenance of Rose:
1. Cut the stem of the flowers askew to prevent the head of the flowers from bending. Wrap the floor with newspapers and immerse the whole bundle of flowers in water to absorb water.
2. If the head of flowers has bent, cut the base of the flowers and insert preservative of PH 3.5-4.5 and the flowers will be restored quickly.
3. Roses are sensitive to ethylene, so they should be away from the ripe fruits and vegetables, cigarettes and so on, so that it doesn’t fade early.

The maintenance of Lily:
1. Disperse the squid to make it breathe freely.
2. Add bleach water or preservative to extend flowering period.
3. Lily can be inserted into warm water if you want to have an early flowering.
4. Lily is sensitive to ethylene and need to avoid fruits and cigarettes.

The maintenance of Gerbera:
1. Cut the base of the gerbera with blades and then put them into water.
2. Adding preservative to the water is better.
3. Do not directly spray on the surface of gerbera, to avoid mildew.
4. Take input-type flower arranging, to avoid a direct touch of the bottom of the vase, in order to facilitate water absorption and to avoid bacterial infection.
